Galvanized Pasture Feeders
BUY 1 GET 1 HALF PRICE!
Old style galvanized chicken feeders. 5 feet long hold almost 25 pounds of feed, strong convenient way to feed pastured poultry. Joel Salatin recommended!
60" long galvanized trough feeders has wooden handle in place of "reel" type handle. 3 1/2" sides overall hight is 7 1/2".
Just the right size!

I love these feeders, we keep one in each broiler shelter plus a hanging 50# feeder so our broilers never run out of feed. They work great in larger mobile range style coops (think portable greenhouse on skids) and can secure to the underside of the horizontal bracing, so you don't have to pick them up to move them daily, they move along with the coop.
The only reason for the missing star, is those sharp edges, I'd pay an extra $5 for the fabricator to bend those over for me, but since I have to do it myself, it costs a star. :)

It seems very sturdy, but the folds of metal on the ends where the wood connects are protruding and quite sharp. I am going to try to fold them in further before I put it out for the chickens.
Best feeder for pastured poultry!

I know why Joel Salatin recommends these feeders! We've been pasture raising poultry for 2 years. These are so much better than the 50lb round feeders. It fits about 15 full sized Cornish on each side. We use two per coop with 50 chickens in each coop. Plenty of room for them all to eat with no pushing and shoving. Much easier to move in/out of the coop when moving daily, instead of the bulky 50lb feeder. I highly recommend!!!!
Good durable feeder

I have one that I bought used two years ago and it is going strong. I use it in a Salatin type tractor on pasture and gets exposed to weather. It has held up very well and I have just added a second broiler tractor with another feeder.
