5 ¼" boning knife. Same blade as the Daniel Salatin but with a nice wood handle. For those who prefer the warmth and feel of a real wood handle. Features stain-free, classic high-carbon steel blade, with an individually ground and honed edge. Handle is secured to the blade with brass compression rivets. Made in USA by Dexter Russell Americas oldest knife maker.

    Good Knife For Skinning.

    I purchased this knife to dress a 1800 LBS beef over the weekend. It by far, worked better than any other utility knife we had on hand for skinning. Feels and handles great. however if I buy another one I will look for an equivalent that has a stainless steel blade. This one showed rust spots shortly after being washed when not immediately dried. Otherwise would have given 4-stars.
