Conference Services we provide:
Cornerstone Farm Ventures is a small farm consulting business primarily focused on
small livestock agricultural enterprises. We provide assistance for small farm business planning, and livestock production methods. In addition we offer farm
tours, and workshops on animal husbandry.
Jim is an excellent public communicator and has presented at conferences across the United States. Including, PASA Annual Conference, State College PA,
1998; ACRES USA Annual Conference, Minneapolis, MN, 1999; NY Pastured Poultry Expo
1996-1999; HPI USA/Canada Leaders Meeting Little Rock AR, 2000; NY NOFA Annual Conference 2000 &
2001; NY Farm Direct Conference, 2000 & 2001; Local presentations for Soil and Water Districts, Cooperative Extension and others.
Topics include:
Jim can present on various topics including: Intensive grazing methods, watering systems, fencing requirements, barn and facility layout, livestock handling systems, various production systems, (both conventional and sustainable methods) and basic livestock nutrition. In addition Jim can address specific needs such as sheep and meat goat production models, Pastured Poultry production models, marketing models. Specifically direct marketing models including, "Back Porch" marketing, Farmers Markets, and marketing to ethnic groups.
