We offer kill cones from a number of manufacturers this list below give approximate sizes for different weight birds.

We have found that most pastured poultry producers while raising a broiler type bird usually end up with a dressed bird in the 5-7 pound range. These larger birds fit better in the Hen Fowl cone rather then the broiler cone.

We have both round cones and flat back cones. Some producers prefer round over flat back cones but this is personal preference rather then one working better then the other. The size of the cone rather then the shape appear to have more importance to keep birds from jumping out.

We also recommend you have several different size cones to accommodate the differing sizes of birds in a given flock. Depending on what your average size is, order based on the sizes below and then have 1-2 larger (or smaller) cones to cover the off average sizes.

All our cones are Stainless Steel. Don't settle for galvanized or thin metal ones.
