Cornerstone Farm Ventures has been supplying equipment to outfit mobile meat processing units since the 1990's. Our specialty is poultry units.

Mobile Poultry Processing Units are becoming more popular. We do not build actual units but supply the equipment that is mounted in them. We do sell a flatbed trailer mounted Mini MPU. It consists of equipment from our PM line of poultry processing equipment. Please call us for more information and how to have one built. The Mini MPU is $10,000.00

Poultry Processing Specialist

North Country Pastured, LLC seeks to hire two (2) livestock slaughter/butchers for its mobile poultry and rabbit processing unit. The position requires 35 +/- hours a week and significant travel. Training will be provided. Compensation is competitive and based upon qualifications.

Duties include:

• Interacting with farmers and other customers professionally and capably, for the purpose of cultivating long-term relationships.

• Slaughtering livestock and processing meat in accordance with USDA humane and product quality standards.

• Ensuring that the standards of USDA organic certification for meat are met, upon producers request.

• Scheduling and driving to appointments with the unit so as to maximize customer service and efficiency

• Assigning duties to, supervising, and training the assistant butcher.

• Maintaining electronic records of production.

Position requirements:

• H.S. diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent experience.

• Possession of, or ability to obtain within 3 months, a Commercial A Driving License (CDL)

• Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials

• Knowledge of HACCP: Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point Programs or willingness to be trained.

• Eligible to work in the United States
