Chicken Crates

Poultry transport crates are essential for moving poultry safely and humanely. Most of our poultry transport coops will hold 10-12 broiler size birds.

For the easiest fastest way to move birds to processing, load the birds into the crate after dark the night before slaughter. In addition withhold feed and pasture for 12-24 hours before slaughter to clean out the digestive tract.

Leave the birds in the crate with air space around each crate . Do not stack the crates on top of each other to allow for adequate air flow. In the morning load them up into the truck and take them to the processing station, it will be the easiest part of the process for you.
